Here you can find out about us and what we do.
The Spark Newspaper was founded two years ago by Sophia Durbin, who at that time was in 6th Grade, as a student-run newspaper. At that time a paper copy was given to each homeroom once a month. Last year we switched over to this website which we have used ever since. Although our members and content have changed, the Spark will continue to be a student-run newspaper. We officially meet as an ASA group on Thursday afternoons, so feel free to drop by and join us or send us an email with your thoughts.

Jeremy SmithJeremy Smith is in 8th Grade and is the co-editor of the Spark, but only because he was passive-aggressively encouraged to do it by his peers. He likes chocolate with a cacao percentage of 70-80% and can often be found reading books in his spare time (not that he has much free time because he procrastinates so much when doing his homework). He has several weird skills and interests that will probably never come in handy, which include solving a Rubik's cube, applying Pythagoras' Theorem and differentiating an Airbus A320 from a Boeing 737.
Chi LuChi Lu is a 6th grader who loves learning, writing, reading, music and everything about potatoes. She enjoys literature and she is mostly inspired by nature. Her favourite book genres are mystery and dystopian. This is her first year joining The Spark and she hopes to be able to continue to participate in this ASA next time. She has been at UNIS for 3 and a half years and had made some close friends that accept her despite her obsession with school stationery.

ElenaElena (8th grade) is an unremarkable human being who loves reading, writing, music, and consuming nutrients mainly in the form of cheesecake. She has been discovered to have extensive collections of erasers, stickers, and tape, and her current obsession is electroswing. Outside of school she can often be found singing loudly off-key, to the detriment of those within the immediate vicinity.
JaydenJayden is a 6th grade guy and he is a person who likes being in this school, UNIS. He has been in UNIS for 3 and half years now. He enjoy doing assessments ( expect some ) and reading and really likes sleeping.
